Design and process

We prefer the English sense of the word design: conception. This is the most exciting and rewarding moment in our profession.

It is the seat of freedom, paired with the invention of tools and processes — where reality and passion are brought into friction.

Our holistic approach forbids us from reaching for ready-made recipes. To design a space or an object first means understanding it — while it does not yet exist.

Designing then becomes a kind of fishing in the dark. We put forward hypotheses, which we analyse. Through iteration, we repeat this process as many times as needed, even if it means questioning and reshaping our assumptions. The project sharpens, takes form, begins to exist.

Time and again, unexpected realities emerge from this work and shift towards an architecture that becomes precise — and becomes a real place.
